The internet can be a mommy's best friend or biggest foe. One type into google can make you think your child has a world of problems, or you need to rush them to the doctor. These are some of my favorite websites that are safe in my point of view.
diapers.com
The BEST baby supply store online. They have everything on here, and free shipping on orders $50 or more. Lets face it, when buying for baby most purchases are going to be $50....or more :).
fearlessformulafeeder
This blog was a saving grace when I made the hard decision to stop breastfeeding and become a "fearless formula feeder". It has great stories of other moms who have chosen to feed their babies with formula.
andnobodytoldme
Another great blog, sometimes serious and a lot funny. Great "lessons" for new moms. And so very true!
rantsfrommommyland
Very sarcastic and hysterical blog of, how the women of the blog describe as the "joys" of motherhood.
twoweekwait.com
This website is for anyone who is trying to get pregnant or is pregnant. During your pregnancy you can join or follow a "birth club". It has a lot of moms from all over on it. I never posted anything on this site, but it was neat to read what other women were saying during their pregnancies.
babycenter.com
One of the only websites I trust to read up about child development. The articles are written by doctors and very informative.

gDiapers...the (really) good the bad and the ugly of cloth diapering
Ok so when Brian and I found out we were pregnant, one of the first decisions we made for our little one is that we would cloth diaper. I researched it extensively and decided that we would use the gDiaper system. I knew it would be a large investment at first, but oh my goodness when we did the math we would be saving thousands of dollars each year by cloth diapering our baby.
These diapers have been a lot of "work" but so worth it. Each diaper has three parts: the little gPant, waterproof liner and prefold cloth insert. Changing a cloth diaper is no harder than a disposable. The cloth insert comes out, and a new one goes in! If its a bad dipe...the waterproof liner comes out with the cloth, and you could replace both or just put a whole new one on. Instead of a traditional diaper bin, we have a nappy pail where her diapers wait in a bag to be taken downstairs to wash. The smell isnt bad either! I was worried we would have a nursery that smelled like one big diaper! We assemble diapers in advance so they are at the ready. Its easy to put together, all snaps and velcro!
One thing I would criticize them of is fit. The weight limits they have on the sizes are not correct, or at least correct for molly. The newborn size are supposed to fit 6-10 pounds. Molly outgrew them at 8 pounds; about three weeks old. They just didnt fit well around her thighs. She also outgrew the size smalls by 2 months and was too small for the mediums!! So for the past three weeks we had to use disposables. This week was the first week we got to wear our mediums. This fiasco almost made us change to cloth one size "pocket" diapers like the ones from fuzzibuns or bumgenius.
I will say that Huggies "little snugglers" are the best disposables we tried. I always have some in her diaper bag as back-up along with a "wet bag" for her g-diapers.
Along with them being so easy to use, they come in so many cute colors! Most recently when we stocked up on size M...we got the "gFlutter" pant, it has butterflies on it!
Moey's first time in her "big girl" gDiaper. Omg, her belly button was still there at this point! hehe!

As for washing diapers every other day, it isnt that bad. Its a super small load so it takes about 40 minutes to wash and dry them. So in all, while dinner is cooking or while we are watching a show at night, its in the diapers go in the wash, the dryer and then into her nappy drawer! :)
In all, we really enjoy cloth diapering. And we all can admit, a cloth bum is pretty darn cute!
Getting to know you...
Getting to know allllll about you!
A newborn baby is the scariest creature in the whole world. But, the most adorable. :) Getting to know our little girl has been so much fun. I cant believe how lucky we are to have such a great baby!
Some things about Moey:
She has been growing like crazy! Her 2nd month stats were: 11lbs 15oz, and 23 1/4in!!
Every doctors appointment we have had so far her doctor, Carole keeps saying that she is "perfect". Maybe she says that about all the babies, but I like to think she doesnt :) Carole says that she has a perfect round head; which I am so happy about. I am terrified about "flat head" syndrome. It makes sense though, Molly never lays down unless it is to sleep. She is always held or in the moby wrap with me. That thing is the best invention ever...puts her to sleep every time and is wonderful to shop with.
I always said that Moey would never have an ounce of formula or use a paci. Welp, we are a happy formula fed "bottle baby" who is obsessed with her paci! It took us a while to figure out what bottles work best for her. The playtex dropins system is the BEST BOTTLE. Im telling you, dont have to wash bottles...only the nips...sign me up!!
She cannot sleep with out her sleep machine. We figured this out at about a month and a half. She loves the "rain" mode.
Moey was co-sleeping with us since birth until about a week ago. I figured we would co-sleep with her until about a year. With some coaxing by our doctor, my mom, my bff and talking to a family member she is now sleeping in her crib---with all their advice combined I wanted to see how transitioning would go. I didnt want to force it on her; and to be perfectly honest I loved, and Bri loved having her in the bed with us. We started off putting her in her crib to "play". After a bottle when she was full and alert we would do some tummy time, line her crib with toys and put on the mobile. I wanted her to know that the crib was a happy place, not a scary place. Then we tried some naps and then starting off in the crib at night and then coming into our room after a couple of hours. It definitely was a trial and error system. We had to figure out what she needed to sleep; neither of us believe in the "crying it out" method. Now, after establishing a routine we figured out how best to help her sleep on her own. About a week ago, she just slept in her crib, all night!
9:00- last bottle of the day: 5oz
9:30- bath time!!!
10:00-Pj's, massage, book
10:30- bed time, rock with momma, 2oz "night cap" bottle, sound machine, snuggle with Denise or Louise....and she is right out! no crying!!
She has been sleeping until 8-10 in the morning. Once in a while she whimpers and needs her paci put back in, but other than that its usually me going in to check on her!!
Moey has beautiful blue eyes, just like her papa. She loves to look around and see her world. Her head control is amazing! She also loves to push up on her legs to stand when you hold her on your lap.
I dont think any other baby in the world needs to burp as much as Moey does! About every oz in her bottle...she needs to stop to burp! Its so funny, and we always can tell when she needs to burp. She gets quite mad!
New Momma
Ive decided to blog, again. Now that Moey is three months old, I want to document as much as I can of her new little life. Now that we have gotten through the "scary" newborn phase and are into the fun infant phase, I figured this would be a good time to start.
Molly was born on April 3rd. My water had broken at 7:09pm on April 2nd. After a super easy and wonderful labor and delivery, she was born at 2:57 in the morning. It was an amazing experience; I keep saying, and will continue to say: I would give birth every day of the year instead of being pregnant for 9 months! haha! I did enjoy being pregnant...but oh man those last few weeks were not enjoyable. It was SO worth it though. And I guess since I want to do it again one day, it wasn't SO bad. :)
My mom was in the delivery room with us and took so many wonderful photos, this one is my absolute favorite.
It has been so much fun getting to know her; she has grown so much so fast. We couldn't of asked for a more wonderful and sweet baby.
