Getting to know you...

Getting to know allllll about you!

A newborn baby is the scariest creature in the whole world. But, the most adorable. :) Getting to know our little girl has been so much fun. I cant believe how lucky we are to have such a great baby!

Some things about Moey:

She has been growing like crazy! Her 2nd month stats were: 11lbs 15oz, and 23 1/4in!!
Every doctors appointment we have had so far her doctor, Carole keeps saying that she is "perfect". Maybe she says that about all the babies, but I like to think she doesnt :) Carole says that she has a perfect round head; which I am so happy about. I am terrified about "flat head" syndrome. It makes sense though, Molly never lays down unless it is to sleep. She is always held or in the moby wrap with me. That thing is the best invention ever...puts her to sleep every time and is wonderful to shop with.

I always said that Moey would never have an ounce of formula or use a paci. Welp, we are a happy formula fed "bottle baby" who is obsessed with her paci! It took us a while to figure out what bottles work best for her. The playtex dropins system is the BEST BOTTLE. Im telling you, dont have to wash bottles...only the nips...sign me up!!

Moey's new love is her blankie animals: Denise and Louise. She loves to rub them on her face.

She cannot sleep with out her sleep machine. We figured this out at about a month and a half. She loves the "rain" mode.

Moey was co-sleeping with us since birth until about a week ago. I figured we would co-sleep with her until about a year. With some coaxing by our doctor, my mom, my bff and talking to a family member she is now sleeping in her crib---with all their advice combined I wanted to see how transitioning would go. I didnt want to force it on her; and to be perfectly honest I loved, and Bri loved having her in the bed with us. We started off putting her in her crib to "play". After a bottle when she was full and alert we would do some tummy time, line her crib with toys and put on the mobile. I wanted her to know that the crib was a happy place, not a scary place. Then we tried some naps and then starting off in the crib at night and then coming into our room after a couple of hours. It definitely was a trial and error system. We had to figure out what she needed to sleep; neither of us believe in the "crying it out" method. Now, after establishing a routine we figured out how best to help her sleep on her own. About a week ago, she just slept in her crib, all night!

9:00- last bottle of the day: 5oz
9:30- bath time!!!
10:00-Pj's, massage, book
10:30- bed time, rock with momma, 2oz "night cap" bottle, sound machine, snuggle with Denise or Louise....and she is right out! no crying!!

She has been sleeping until 8-10 in the morning. Once in a while she whimpers and needs her paci put back in, but other than that its usually me going in to check on her!!

Moey has beautiful blue eyes, just like her papa. She loves to look around and see her world. Her head control is amazing! She also loves to push up on her legs to stand when you hold her on your lap.

I dont think any other baby in the world needs to burp as much as Moey does! About every oz in her bottle...she needs to stop to burp! Its so funny, and we always can tell when she needs to burp. She gets quite mad!
