I say I don't feel comfortable because the one year mark is creeping up. As I have said before, her baby-hood is slipping away through my fingers like water and she is now becoming, thriving, growing into a "big gurl".
I was working on her invitations for her party tonight as she crawled around me, laughing, playing, making a rattle with a plastic cup and her paci. When I looked up at her from my screen once and a while she would squeal, crawl over to me real fast and rest her head on my shoulder for a moment....then went back to playing.
She is a part of me. Whenever I look at her belly button, it is a scar of love...what connected us for 9 months.
I remember hugging my belly many times a day and just saying..."I love you my baby."
I still remember her kicking in my belly. Having hiccups in my belly. The way her slimy warm body felt as I cupped her bottom when she was placed on my chest as soon as she entered this world.
Every milestone she has hit is magical. No, really, its magical. I see her developing into this little girl. One who speaks, knows what she wants, is able to show love for others. Everything I wanted and more in a child.
As she grows older I am also becoming more aware of how much of an impact my daily interactions are with her. I see her learning things from me. Listening intently and mimicking our every move. It is ah-ma-zing I tell you.
We are so blessed to have her as our daughter.
11 Months.....
- She has mastered standing. She squats down and stands back up over and over! She hasn't quite gotten the guts to move her feets!
- If Moey could, she would eat bananas all day long.
- Moey loves to share (mostly her cheerios and paci). And she knows when she has picked up something she shouldn't. She will hold it out for us to take. We, of course make a huge deal out of this!
- She likes to "put on" her socks. :) She places them on her feet. Super proud of herself.
- Moey loves to sleep on her belly, she now rolls over and tucks her feet under her. She still seems to find her way in to snuggle with Momma and Papa in the wee hours of the morning, just as the sun is coming up.
